It has been a while since my last post. Time that I might normally spend online was redirect to Christmas cards, gifts and travel. Soon our group will be wrapping up a brief seasonal hiatus and recommence to rolling. It has been a wild week that was punctuated with a 4:30 a.m. sprint to my basement dojo with my screaming wife and kids. One hundred mile per hour winds sent tree limbs flying and uprooted 50 year old oaks. Our home (and dojo) executed very impressive tai sabaki and remained unscathed.It was a Christmas near miss. Our only inconveinience was 2 days without power. My neighbor was not as lucky. Some of you may not have may not have gotten everything you hoped for this Christmas. It could be worse. Santa could have delivered a 60 foot oak.
